New England Plastercraft (NEP) has its roots going back almost 15 years when the retail arm of Plaster Fun Time acquired manufacturing capabilities to support the growth of its stores in the Boston area. Since that time, we have grown our capabilities, capacity and selection to over 1,000 difference pieces uniquely available to us, making us the largest plaster figurine manufacturer in North America, and possibly even the world!
In 2016, because of external demand, NEP was spun off as its own separate company and has begun sales direct to consumer and to other Arts and Crafts stores in North America.

A common misconception is to think that ceramics and Plaster are the same. While in color and appearance they do look similar, Plaster has the advantages of:
- Ease of use. Just pick your piece and paint.
- No firing necessary – besides ease of use, this avoids both breakage in the firing process as well as colors and designs being washed out by the heat.
- No special supplies needed. Any acrylic paints will work well.
